Critter Cam 6 – Eastern Quolls

Eastern quolls are considered as technically extinct on mainland Australia but in Tasmania the population seems to very healthy. We had a very high hit rate on Critter Cam with a quoll (or two) every night we set it up. They are amusing creatures to watch and several times at night we could see them jumping around very much like an excited squirrel. It was also interesting to see them in the same pictures as possums and pademelons.

Eastern Quoll at Lake Sorell following a possum around. There are about 5 shots of it leaping around really close to the possum. There are also eyes in the background which look like another quoll.
