Best Office View Ever?

We were driving down some narrow and overgrown forest tracks in Tasmania’s North East when we stumbled across a fire tower perched up on one of the hills. To our surprise there was a man working at the top of the tower who invited us up for a look.

November to April is Tasmania’s bushfire season and the forestry division employ people to sit in these towers and keep watch for bushfires from 9am to 7pm daily. The ‘office’ itself has 360′ views of the Mt William National Park, radio communications with the other fire towers and detailed maps of the region laid out on a large table.

Add to that a packed lunch, a thermos of tea and a newspaper and this must be one of the best views anyone can have from their office….

Best office view?....and best snap we've taken of the camper!
