Pilbara Snaps

The camera’s been getting a good work out recently up here in Karratha. Here’s some of my favourite recent spots.

Dawn at the Burrup Peninsula. On a low tide you can walk for a couple of kms out around the peninsula. Just stunning.

Low tide at Hearson’s Cove. My stand out favourite place for a wander on the flats surrounded by ancient hills.

A weekend camp on a station near Karratha. The grass was knee high after heavy rains but made for stunning photography at dusk.

Love this picture. Sunset, calm water, peaceful bird calls and the crackle of a nearby campfire

Room with a view. Interesting in amongst the long grass!

It wouldn’t be a Pilbara road trip without a trip to an abandoned mine site.
